Merina a.s., having dealt with textile manufacturing as its primary activity for 101 years, stopped the production on 1.5.2009. From 1.5.2009 Merina a.s. continues to sell textiles, deals with revitalization of the original production premises, leases the premises to other types of manufacturing, storage, retail sales and administrative activities. Independently of Merina a.s., a textile manufacturing originated on the premises and continues its production. It is a long-term interest of Merina a.s. to create an industrial and commercial park using the access to energy media and utilities, and especially the convenient location in the northern part of the town close to its centre.
