- graduate at Music University of Franz Liszt in Weimar / Germany (1980), majored in cello performance and composition; Academy of Early Music by the Institution of Music Science at Masaryk University in Brno / Czech republic (1995), majored in performing baroque, specialized in viola da gamba (Pierre Pitzl, Thomas Fritzsch)
- 2003-thesis defense - topic "Viola da Gamba in cantatas of J.S.Bach" at the Music Department of Slovak Science Academy and acquiring of academic degree "philosophiae doctor" (Phd.) at Philosophical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava
