  • born on the 28th of May 1948 in Trenčín
  • graduate at Music University of Franz Liszt in Weimar / Germany (1980), majored in cello performance and composition; Academy of Early Music by the Institution of Music Science at Masaryk University in Brno / Czech republic (1995), majored in performing baroque, specialized in viola da gamba (Pierre Pitzl, Thomas Fritzsch)
  • 2003-thesis defense - topic "Viola da Gamba in cantatas of J.S.Bach" at the Music Department of Slovak Science Academy and acquiring of academic degree "philosophiae doctor" (Phd.) at Philosophical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava
  • study stays abroad - Constantin Jiracek Scholarship, Vienna / Austria (1995); DAAD scholarship Bonn / Germany, study stay in Leipzig - Bach Archive, Music University in Leipzig - Department of Early Music - 2000; 2003-scholarship of Austrian Organization for Eastern and South-eastern Europe, Bratislava affiliate - stay in Wien: E.Krenek Institute and Schoenberg Centre

  • composition activities - cca 50 compositions, 1979 - 1st place at the 11th year of International Composer Competition in Szczecinek / Poland
  • as the teacher worked at the Consevatoire for Arabian Music in Cairo / Egypt - Department of European Music (1980 - 1981), since 1992 - professor of Music Department at the Faculty of Human and Natural Sciences of Presov University
