Slovanet covers a wide spectrum of telecommunications services and actively serves a large number of diverse customers from households and small businesses to large corporations. It offers its customers a variety of solutions for their Internet, data, telephone and digital TV needs in a single package. In addition, many important clients use secure and stable data connections of virtual private networks of Slovanet.
Slovanet also provides service work and consultation services in the area of secure networks and projects as well as the installation of LAN and WAN networks. At the same time, it provides hardware and software, maintenance services, consulting and training on all of its products and services.
Company History and the Present
Slovanet has one of the longest histories in the field in the Slovak market. In October 2006, Asseco Central Europe, a member of the international Asseco Group, became the majority shareholder in Slovanet. Asseco is active on the information and communication technology markets in most European countries as well as the USA and Japan.
At the end of 2007, Slovanet, using a combination of expansion and acquisitions, invested into its own optical and wireless infrastructure. Its aim is to move more and more share of traffic from leased network to own built or purchased infrastructure. In 2011, the company merged WiMAX Telecom with the nationwide coverage and licenced to operate a wireless 3,5 GHz network, as well as company M-Elektronik that operates cable TV distribution in 18 locations in Slovakia.
